This kind of rope always places me in gaff-rigged schooners, fishing dories on the Grand Banks, Nantucket sleigh rides, Homer's "All's Well" and Kipplings "Captains Courageous". Rolling over foggy seas, damp and dreamy.
I need to age it in the weather so it softens. There are more direct ways but I'll try this for a month or two then see if I need to take more drastic measures.
